Today we were lucky enough to have Andy the postman come in and speak to us. Andy is one of the 32 posties who works in the Manawatu area delivering our mail. He delivers approx 1000 letters a day!
He told us how important it is to make sure we address our envelopes correctly and that we need to put a return address on the letters.
If a letter box is not big enough for the parcel Andy has to deliver he leaves a card in the letterbox to ask them to pick the parcel up from the Manawatu Mail Centre.
He also has to leave a card if there is a big dog and he doesn’t want to go in the grounds. He has already been bitten by a dog 3 times. Ouch!
